“I have a dream today”
Monday, January 20, is Martin Luther King Day. It is the day that has been designated to remember and celebrate the great leader.
Throughout his life, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a champion of service and community involvement. He was an advocate of non-violent protest and became the youngest man to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
He was assassinated in 1968.
Martin Luther’s words are as meaningful and inspirational today as they were when he was alive…
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.”
“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.”
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
His words were powerful.
